What you need as well as valuable links
First of all, you have to learn to read the icons in the manual. That way you save time and trouble, and collecting something in the wrong order.
Then comes tools. You need the following essential pieces of tools to get off to a good start:
Next step tool is where most people are after their first kit:
- Cutting mat - Easier to see one's parts on, especially with calm colors, as well as to cut out water slide decals and protect your table from wear, panel lining, etc.
- Panel lining markers - to detail your Gundams armor separation.
- Scalpel - To refine certain nub remnants after the part is cut out.
- File or sandpaper to make the work as perfect as possible. There is a lot to choose from here. DSPIAE has superb sandpaper and file , and so does Gunprimer . They have glass files and sandpaper with really cool handles.
The Perfectionist:
- Single edged nipper , to cut perfectly. This is typically used after the part has already been cut out with a regular nipper. It helps with stress marks in the plastic.
- Crocodile beak as well holder - to hold your freshly painted parts
- Markers in all colors. Perfect for small details. The shop recommends Molotow Chrome Marker as well Gundam Gold Marker .
- Top coat - final finish to protect the decals, as well as give it a glossy or matte look.
The Customizer:
Here you just go on a raid in the shop. There are many delicious things from Dispae as well Gun primer to panel line, drill, pla-plate, glue etc. There is also primer and paint that is intended for Gunpla.
Find the size you want to build, order in the webshop and you will have it shortly afterwards. Remember the price is related to the amount of plastic.
LINKS
Here you will find relevant links in connection with this fantastic hobby. These links are personal experiences and tastes. There are a lot of different people out there, so do your research.

Construction process:
How do I use tweezers and scalpel, and how best to remove "nubmarks" (where the part is stuck in the runner). It is not a must to be as thorough as in these videos, but if you strive for a perfect finish, then just get started.
Some of the best in the shop at the moment. is the Gunprimer Gate Remover Set , or one of their RASER models.
We also have a lot of DSPIAE sandpaper or their delicious Leviathan file , made in Zirconia

Panel lining:
See the technique behind panel lining , which takes the look one step further. NOTE Do not use panel lining on ABS plastic. ABS is written on the runner/sprue. These are typically innerframe parts.
Water slides:
If stickers are not nice enough, you can find water slides here and see how to put them on in the link.

Pleasant modeler who reviews a lot of kits, from a modeler's point of view.

If you're into speed, overgeared on the Redbull type, you can't avoid this channel. He sees the figures a bit more as toys in my opinion. There is a lot of lifting and tearing, but definitely worth a look.

Private site. A Korean enthusiast, with probably one of the biggest collections I've ever seen. There is an English catalog, but not everything is translated. On each model there is information and a review. It takes a little getting to know the site, but here are all the pictures and details you need.

If it is a relatively simple accident, most parts can be glued again with Tamiya cement
