Slight Roll Hazard

Always pull the cap straight off, don't twist it.

I've bought one of these for my several scribing bits and tips, and it works absolutely fine, it has a solid grip and the cap protects the brittle and (likely) expensive tiny tools you own.

I will mention though, that while it's a solid piece of machined metal that feels good, I have two minor gripes with it:
1. It's hexagonal, so it doesn't roll off on its own, but it also has just enough surfaces to roll once it gets going, potentially going onto the floor, so just be aware of that.
2. The cap is push fit and quite long. It's not likely, but there is a small risk of you hitting the tool bit inside, if you leave your scriber inside of it, every time you pull and push the cap back on.

These sound like nitpicks, until you break a three digit cost scribing tool and then your heart sinks as it lies in two pieces or gets dulled down. Just saying.

I feel confident enough with it but it you want an alternative, the DSPIAE clamp holding handle is an excellent alternative, which has a triangular shape which doesn't roll off the table and has a magnetic cap. The only "safer" tool, in my opinion, is something with a large transparent cap and a fatter grip, but I don't know any beyond what I've seen in videos.
